Two bifacial knives stand on each site of one beautiful Pine Tree that
dates to the Early Archaic period and ranges from 7500 to 6900 B.C.
This is the first Pine Tree that I have seen this size.....in one piece!
Starting in the second row we have a Kirk Serrated and, according to
Justice, dates from about 6900 - 6000 B.C. The next three artifacts
are St. Albans Side Notch bifurcates and the white specimen is not only
sharp on the edges but the point has a still-nasty needle-like tip.....I
know from cleaning it! These points are dated at 6900 to 6500 B.C.
The last point pictured in the second row is a Lake Erie, which dates at
6300-5800 B.C.
The first bifurcate in the last row will remain unnamed because it has
attributes of several types.....so to be safe we will let this one rest
for awhile. A Kirk Corner Notch is depicted second in this row followed,
by two unnamed points, the second being a blunt, or hafted
scraper. The last point is a Brewerton Side Notch.
