These artifacts were all found in various places other than around
our particular square-mile but they are still personal finds and we are
including them here. We start with what appears to be a
Charleston Corner notch although we are out of the distributional area
for this type, and will most likely cover this subject at a later time.
Next to the Charleston is a Kirk, then Raddatz, a nice Big
Sandy (my daughter’s first find) and then an “Early Archaic Side Notch”.
In the second row we have a Raddatz, a small, nicely-made blunt and a translucent,
serrated Kirk Corner Notch found by my friend Carol Zybak.......and though
I have repeatedly told her she has to find the missing pieces.......all
she does is sneer at me! In the third row are two little uniface
scrapers, my first and only clay ball find, and what was once a beautiful
Adena..... in one piece. The bottom row shows three unifacial
end-scrapers and a battered unifacial preform or scraper.
