Ed Radtke, like many others with collections, has now retired from
farming and his son Danny has taken over the reigns. Not many artifacts
got by Ed’s far-sightedness in the days when he was out there plowing the
fields. Everytime he saw a point or scraper from atop his tractor
he would stop and retrieve whatever the treasure was. Luckily Ed
remembers where he found that beautiful Clovis point and we are now going
to make sure it gets registered as a Paleo site. Ed’s
Clovis has created a bit of a stir and it will be measured and illustrated
for a current study of Paleo sites in the state of Illinois.
Thanks for sharing with everyone, Ed! |
