Peotone: The Collections
The Radtke Collection
This frame of points and knives illustrates several of the major cultural typologies representing the Transitional Paleo through Early Archaic Periods in Will County, IL.

Of particular note is the Thebes Blunt—a point either broken and reworked to this configuration, or deliberately formed in this manner. Blunts, often (and mistakenly) assumed to have been used as ‘stunning points’, are in fact scrapers and knives used to fashion wood, bone and hide into more usable forms.
