Exhibited in this frame are predominantly Late Archaic and some Woodland
Period points. Again, one will note the diversity of cultural forms represented
from Will County, IL.
Fourth artifact in the second row, and especially beautiful, is the
Wade (or Smith) Point, with it’s long shoulder-barbs and delicately serrated
edges. Wade Points date to ca. 2500 BC to 500 BC, and has been reported
to be found in caches with Motley Points. |
