 I found the group and the iron ore ball (any ideas?), my bro-in-law Steve found the nice side notched blade, very heavily beveled. (pictured below) Cooool....... Now I had reached the wall, opened up a spot about 5 foot wide and started working sideways in both directions. The sand deposit, pictured below, was to the left bank after I reached the wall: it is away from the shelter and seems to be from highwaters. I'm working my way down into the sand now. So far, no real finds deeper in the sand, not even flint, but I'll keep digging......
