Quinn's report from Onion Creek August 1, 1999
There was a nice Castroville with one chipped ear,
found by James in Rich's hole. Towards the end of the day, Rich
found a
nice Pedernalis with an impact fracture, which he gave to Dave.
(Quinn's ever enlarging strange bone collection)
Check out the small jawbone
with a curved tusk, weird huh. Also, is the
small straight bone I found drilled at the end or is that a natural
hole for a
ligament/tendon/muscle to pass through, I don't think that it is natural.
I also found another horse/deer tooth, and
the nice piece of chert, which may have be been used a chopper.
More next week.
