The Duo of Spencer Perskin and Jerry Rigged

Jerry Rigged is recording a new as-yet-untitled album with his old bandmates from the Austin version of the Jerry Rigged Band.  Tim Harden is on bass and Brian Renel is on drums.  In addition, Spencer Perskin, Marvin Dykhuus, Fred Jarmon, and other artist will appear.  This album should be available around the first week of November.  This should be his best-recorded album yet.
Jerry has recently reissued Jerry Rigged Piano (1998).  It has been re-mastered from the original mini disc recordings and several cuts were re-recorded.  There are two bonus tracks on this re-release. It is available on this website.

Spencer Perskin is recording his first solo project, Magic Feather.  There are currently 14 songs in the mix.  Many past and present band members are collaborating with him on this project.

Jerry Rigged and Spencer Perskin presently are performing as a duo act.  Jerry plays six string acoustic and electric guitar and keyboard, as well as harmonicas.  Spencer plays fiddle/violin, 12 string acoustic, and six string electric guitars, and harmonicas.  They will be recording a duo album soon after the release of the solo projects.   They will also be recording a video soon with perhaps a clip of it on this site.  Check often to see if it is up yet.

Shiva’s Headband Experience has finished mastering The Temple of Rock and Roll, which is currently available on this site and soon to be released in stores.

Spencer and Jerry are also currently compiling a Moontower Sounds publishing catalog and will be aggressively pitching this material for placement and or leasing both in the U.S. and abroad.

Live gigs have been limited by the current projects, however, they do expect to resume the live performances and will be promoting the new albums.. The next gigs on the calendar are Nov. 6 at Sahadi’s in McAllen, Texas and Dec. 7, at the Austin Music Hall (Austin, Texas, of course) in conjunction with When The Music Stops.
