We began to find plenty of rabdotus snail, but this area, at 73cm in the NE corner of the unit, had snail concentrated into what looked like a very dense mass.... this turned out to be most interesting, as you'll see. When digging, one needs to keep aware of sometimes subtle differences in the matrix (the surrounding soil)--- that's how you find features and other important things not necessarily expected. |
