From Dirt Bro Tom
Sullivan in NM:
Folks, First I have to say I love your web site, nothing like seeing others who enjoy the hobby of collecting and gathering info on artifacts as much as I. I hail from Corpus Christi Tx, and have spent lots of time digging near Cibolo creek in San Antonio, but am currently in New Mexico. Reason I am sending this to show off a recent find of mine here in the South West. I found this little baby surface hunting in Lincoln Co, (2 Feb 04 at 0918 in the morning) in association with a burnt rock fire pit. There was tons of this beautiful material, burnt rock and low and behold, this perfect fella...fully exposed. It is so thin you can read the Overstreets through it! Completely fluted both sides. There were two bases and a Midland base near by as well, in the same day. Other trips produced a tip and scrapers. Hope you enjoy, Regards to you all,
WOW! Still my beating heart!
Please send more of this to us... especially would like to see pics of the fire pit! Bob |
