From Dirt Bro Hank
Shear of Texas:
I'm kind of baffled at the type of points I'm finding in this
mound. Most of them are only about 2' deep and just on top of the light
brown colored soil (the mound is right on top of a bunch of HoneyComb Bedrock
and is MAYBE 3 1/2' deep in the very center). A few have been Nolans (I'm
for sure on a few) and I think I found a Zora last trip but I'm not sure
on a few of the others. I think it's a pretty old midden. I have found
2 nice Bulverdes so far and lots of pieces of worked flint, not mention
a layer of shells and bone that is incredible.
Thanks Hank!
