From Dirt Bro Cat
Law of Canada:
I found this at my grandmothers house when she was moving and I was wondering if you could tell me about it. Some one has told me it is a bannerstone but I'm not sure. The stone head is football shaped and is 6" long and about 6" around the widest part. The handle is wood and is 26" long and is wrapped in leather. It is stitched with cotton. The head is attatched by a wide piece of leather. My grandmother tells me that my great (x3) grandfather used to take
walks along an escarpment in either Ancaster or Waterdown (Southern Ontario)
and would pick up arrowheads and such. This would have been in the
early 1800s. Any info you could tell me would be great.
Thanks Cat!
