The Duo of Spencer Perskin and Jerry Rigged

We have been performing together for about two years.  We have appeared at clubs, concerts, and parties and have also played a number of live radio shows.  We play an eclectic mix of original Texas Americana.  We do some bi-lingual numbers, which are very popular, and we are also available for weddings and formal occasions.  The duo can also add members to form any size band desired.  We will provide references upon request, or check with the Texas Music office.

We have been Austin’s premier psychedelic-blues-country-rock band since 1967.  We were at the opening concert at the Vulcan Gas Co. September 1967.  And we headlined the opening show at the Armadillo World Headquarters in August 1970.  We have appeared in concert with 100 or more major acts.  Band founders, Spencer and Susan Perskin, are current nominees to the Texas Music Hall of Fame.  We write original music in a great many genres, but presented with our own signature sound.  Our newest release, The Temple of Rock and Roll, is now available.  We are now accepting bookings for concerts, collages, clubs, parties, or for weddings and special occasions.  We can do it smooth and soft and cool, or we can get rough and raw and hot.  We fit the show.  For more, check our discography page, and read the story of the month.
 

Howdy, how can I help you?  I have been a musician for 50 years plus.  My prime ax is violin/fiddle. I also play acoustic and electric guitar, a little sax, sopranino recorder, harmonica.  I have been a bandleader and main vocalist for Shiva’s Headband for over thirty years.  I have jammed on stage with many of the biggest stars in musical history, some of who are listed on our discography page.  We signed the first major-label deal for an Austin band in 1970, and I became the first local producer to record a major record.
